What is the Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund is a yearlong process of seeking financial and prayerful support for FCA throughout the school year. It provides essential monetary support to meet the school’s growing need for financial resources that enhance the quality of the education for every student. Learn more about our Annual Fund called the Guardian Angel Program.

Why does Faith Christian Academy have an Annual Fund?

To provide an affordable Christian education for children, our school can not rely solely on tuition. The Annual Fund is a way of seeking other avenues of funding and financial partners to help offset the difference between tuition income and the actual cost of educating each student.

Who supports the Annual Fund?

Alumni, school parents, church members, businesses, grandparents and other friends of the school are invited to support the Annual Fund.

How will the funds be used?

We believe in practicing good stewardship of the gifts God has given us, especially financial gifts. Funds raised could be used for:

  • Financial Aid to deserving families
  • Enhancements to our technology infrastructure
  • Operational School Support
  • Supporting our Strings Orchestra Program
  • Increasing the number of computers in our classrooms
  • Sponsoring community outreach activities such as food drives

What should I give to the Annual Fund?

God has given each of us gifts, talents and abilities which are to be used and shared with others. Stewardship is more than occasional acts of charity and service. It’s a way of life, a commitment to giving of our time, talent and financial resources in thanksgiving for all the blessings and gifts we have received. All gifts, no matter the size, are deeply appreciated.

Are financial gifts and donations to Faith Christian Academy tax-deductible?

Yes! All gifts to the Annual Fund and Guardian Angel Program qualify for a charitable tax deduction. FCA is a recognized 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization so all gifts made to the school are tax-deductible. Reminder, tuition is not. Gifts can be in the form of a pledge paid over time or by a one-time contribution. Contributions can be made through stock transfers or company matching gifts.

Would your employer match your gift? Ask them!

How can I give?

You can make a gift right now through our easy to use online giving form or by mailing a check to the school office at:

Faith Christian Academy
96282 Brady Point Road
Fernandina Beach, FL 32034

If I make my gift online, is that method secure?

Yes. We have taken every precaution to protect your payment and personal information. If you prefer, you may also give over the phone by calling the school office at (904) 321-2137.

Why is it important for every family to participate in the Annual Fund?

Every dollar assists your child(ren) with a stronger educational program. The goal is for all parents to contribute something to show support and appreciation for our dynamic school.

What is a typical pledge that a family makes?

Gifts in the $500 to $1,000 range are the most common, but there are some families who give $100 and some who can give $10,000. Any gift is greatly appreciated.

“Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” II Cor. 9. We invite families to prayerfully consider and talk together about what amount they can cheerfully give to the FCA Annual Fund.

Have you considered an EBT?

An Electronic Bank Transfer (EBT) is an option that allows you to faithfully support our school on a monthly basis without writing a check every month. Your bank will automatically transfer the amount you specify each month. You can cancel or change this agreement at any time by calling the school.

What is a Planned Gift?

Just as giving is a priority in many people’s lives, a planned gift passes on that priority when an individual departs from this life. A “planned gift” goes on giving. While the giver expands his or her legacy, the gift can be structured so that it does not put at risk an individual’s concern that they might not be able to take care of themselves financially during this lifetime.

Why are planned gifts important to Faith Christian Academy?

In some instances planned gifts provide immediate financial assistance and in others they help grow an endowment which will over time provide tuition assistance for special families and long-term viability to FCA. In both estate gifts and other planned giving FCA receives an asset upon the death of the donor and will frequently use it to establish or grow an endowment. The principal amount is protected and used in perpetuity.

As a steward of God’s resources, it is important that you use your assets to their fullest potential during your lifetime, both in caring for your family and in serving the Lord. On a personal level, estate plans provide for your loved ones and help you avoid unnecessary taxes. At the same time, they help support ministries like Faith Christian Academy.

Estate planning is about life, not death. It’s about your life. Who is in charge when you cannot be? How to continue being a good steward of God’s resources and your family’s legacy, even after death, while supporting the organizations you care about. Contact Faith Christian Academy for more information about planned giving or to make us a part of your estate planning.
