Statement of Faith

Statement of Faith

Our Statement of Faith is firmly planted in the Word of God. Scripture is the basis of all we do. We believe this always points us back to a firm foundation of truth.

It is our honor to pour into your children and raise them up as "arrows in the hand of a warrior."

"Children are a heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is His reward. As arrows are in the hand of a warrior, so are children of the youth." Psalm 127:3, 4

We Believe...

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God (II Timothy 3:15; II Peter 1:21)

We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30)

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ (John 10:33); His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:35); His sinless life (Hebrew 4:15; 7:26); His miracles (John 2:1); His vicarious and atoning death (I Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9); His resurrection (John 11:25; I Corinthians 15:4); His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19, 5:24; Romans 3:23, 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5).

We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration of one’s spirit by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature; that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ Jesus; and that only by God’s grace, through faith in Christ, are we saved (John 3:16-19. 5:24; Romans 3:23, 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5).

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost.  They that are saved will be resurrected to life eternal, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal damnation (John 5:28-29).

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 12:1-13; Galatians 3:26-28).

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.  We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is to endue the believer with power and that His empowering after the same manner as in Bible days (Acts 1:8; Romans 8:13-14; 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20; Ephesians 4:30, 5:18).

We believe that God created man in His own image, and that He created them male (man) and female (woman), sexually different for the purpose of procreation and reproduction (Genesis 1:27-28). We do not believe that gender confusion is Biblical, and we are fully opposed to and discourage any and all attempts to physically change, alter, or disagree with one’s biological sex including but not limited to surgery, medication, or any other means, especially in regard to minors. We believe in sexual identity established by God at birth and fully support and respect parental rights in this regard.

We believe in the sacredness of Christian marriage; it is a holy union of one man and one woman for the primary purpose of procreation and the raising of children in the fear and admonition of the Lord (Genesis 1:28, 2:24; Matthew 19:4-5).

We believe that sexual contact is only appropriate in the context of holy marriage. We believe that single men and women should practice chastity (Hebrews 13:4). We further believe that sexual acts outside of marriage are prohibited as sinful, including but not limited to adultery, incest, bestiality, homosexuality, pornography, prostitution, voyeurism, pedophilia, exhibitionism, sodomy, polygamy, polyamory, and same-sex sexual acts (Genesis 19:5-24; Exodus 20:14; Leviticus 18:5-29, 20:10-26; Deuteronomy 5:18; Matthew 5:27-28; Romans 1:24-27; I Corinthians 6:9-20; Galatians 5:19; Ephesians 4:17-19; Colossians 3:5; I Thessalonians 4:3-8). We further believe that those who persist in this sinful behavior will not inherit the Kingdom of God (I Corinthians 6:9; Galatians 5:19-21, Revelation 22:14-15).
