Step Up For Students is a state-approved nonprofit scholarship funding organization that helps administer Florida School Choice scholarships for Florida school children, including the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (FTC), the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO), and the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA).

Scholarships are limited to one per student per school year. Scholarships cannot be combined with any other scholarships.

Due to the new School Choice legislation, ALL kindergarten-12th grade students who live in the state of Florida, are now eligible to receive funds that can be used to cover the cost of private education.

The award amounts from these scholarships, while they vary, may only cover part of our tuition, so there is a portion that you may be responsible for. Award money is applied to tuition first, then any remaining can go towards fees.

Scholarships may not cover our full tuition, leaving families responsible for a portion. We offer several options for paying your part of tuition.

In our VPK program, if more than 11 students are in a classroom, a full-time aid will be provided. In K5-3rd grades, our goal is to have no more than 18 students per classroom. In 4th-12th grades, our goal is to have no more than 22 students per classroom.

Faith Christian Academy currently has teams in Cross Country, Volleyball, Flag Football, Soccer, and Basketball. Students may begin participating in 5th grade.

Academics

In our Lower School, FCA uses BJU Press and Purposeful Design. In the Upper School, our students will primarily use BJU Press, Sadlier Grammar and Vocabulary, and a limited variety of other resources that align with the values of our school.

Yes, each student will have a Bible class each day. Each student will also attend a chapel service once a week. Dress code is the same for chapel days.

Currently our Upper School offers Honors/advanced Math classes 7th-12th grades and several AP courses in 11th and 12th grades. We hope to provide more honors/advanced courses in other core courses in the future.  We also are partnered with Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) with a dual enrollment program. This allows juniors and seniors who have passed FSCJ’s dual enrollment test and meet their GPA requirements to take college courses and earn both college & high school credits simultaneously. Most dual enrollment courses are online.

Enrollment / Admissions

Yes. However, because we are a small school we do not have resources to support some accommodations or any modifications. The same admission procedures are in effect for all students; however, we may not be able to fulfill all educational accommodations based on the services we offer. All students are considered for admission on a case-by-case basis and evaluated based on their needs and the resources available at Faith Christian Academy.

All students applying to Faith Christian Academy must go through our application process, which consists of application and gathering of academic records, possible entrance testing, an interview, then the family is notified of acceptance or denial. This means that their enrollment is not based simply on receiving a scholarship award letter alone.

Yes, we would love to show you around our campus and answer any questions you may have! The Admissions Director is your point of contact for tour requests.
