Absences
ALL absences must be called in each day that a student is absent (904-321-2137). When the student returns to school, he/she MUST bring a note from either a parent or doctor. It is the responsibility of the student to make up all work that has been missed. Please refer to the Parent-Student Handbook for specifics about absenses, including the procedures for excused and unexcused absences.
Tardies
Any student who is tardy for school MUST be checked in by a parent. Absences related to illness or injury of the student that exceeds five (5) consecutive days or a total of ten (10) days require a doctor’s note.
If You Move
If you have moved, please update your current address and phone number on your FACTS profile.
Medication Procedure
Florida State law requires that a special form be filled out and signed by the physician and parent/guardian of each student on medication. This form must be on file in the school clinic before a student can take any medication at school. All physicians have copies of this form.
Dress Code
We require uniforms. Please refer to the Parent Student Handbook for detailed information regarding the dress code.
Office Phones and Cell Phones
Students may place calls home for important situations only, as determined by the office staff. If your student needs to make arrangements to go home with another student, these arrangements must be made before arriving at school. Students may have cell phones; however, all cell phones must be turned off and should be stowed in their backpack, locker, or vehicle (not carried in their pocket).
P.E. Uniforms
Upper School students are required to wear the FCA P.E. uniform shirt and shorts during P.E. class. The cost is $20 for a shirt and shorts and can be purchased in the Upper School office.
